AbsLab is built to work with as little of your data as possible.
What We Collect
- Profile info you enter during setup (age, height, weight, goal, activity level, etc.) is stored only on your device, never on our servers.
- Ab-scan and meal photos you take are sent to our backend, which forwards them to Anthropic's Claude AI to generate your score, workout plan, and nutrition estimates. Photos are not stored on our servers after that response is returned — they're saved only on your device.
- If you message the in-app Coach, your message text — along with basic profile context (like your goal and latest scan score) needed to give a relevant reply — is sent to our backend, which forwards it to Groq's AI to generate a response. Coach conversations are saved only on your device.
- We do not require an account, login, or email address to use the app.
Third Parties
- Anthropic (Claude API) processes your scan and meal photos to generate results. See Anthropic's own privacy policy for how they handle API data.
- Groq processes your Coach chat messages and basic profile context to generate replies. See Groq's own privacy policy for how they handle API data.
- If you subscribe, payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store — we never see or store your payment details.
- We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.
Your Control
- You can delete all your data at any time from Profile → Delete All My Data. This removes your profile, scan history, meals, and plan from your device permanently.
- Because most data lives only on your device, uninstalling the app also removes it.
Permissions
- Camera and Photo Library access are used only to capture or select scan/meal photos — never for anything else.
Children
AbsLab is not intended for users under 13.
